Description: A really nice early 20th century (or late 19th c) Aboriginal bullroarer. One side has the traditional abstract/geometric designs; the other side has quite a few unusual designs which resemble human footprints and some bird or reptilian foot prints (?) Very interesting!!! This same side has a border of abstract linear / dot motifs. There's an old label with the barely legible words "Bull Roarer" and inventory numbers. The wood (possibly Mulga) has a very attractive dark red-orange hue which call to mind the beautiful sands of Simpson Desert. This is a beautiful Aboriginal object!!! Measurements: Length is 16 inches; width is 2.75 inches.
