Description: here is a vintage AUTHENTIC One of a Kind GAME USED AND AUTOGRAPHED "2003 AUSSIE ACES MSBL WORLD SERIES" hat worn and signed by #11 ARTIE FLETCHER, who was a professional baseball player in the DODGERS and CUBS organizations from 1956-1960. Please refer to "BASEBALL REFERENCE" to see his minor league career stats and teams played with. This hat has the original gold kangaroo pin given out to the team players that Artie kindly gave me to add to this auction. he also was kind enough to sign a new baseball for collection also. I purchased this hat at a thrift store I frequent regularly and purchased the hat. the hat was not signed at the time. My friend who runs the church store told me there was a story behind the hat and told me Artie Fletcher was a professional baseball player in the 50's for the the Dodgers and Cubs and lived in the town where the store was. She said she goes to church on Sundays and he would be there and asked if I would like her to have him sign the hat to which I said yes. when I came in to pick the hat up she gave me a ball and the original gold metal kangaroo pin was stuck on the hat and said he wanted me to have everything. the hat is from a Professional Senior Baseball League in Australia. hat is game used and has beautiful embroidered logo and is a "AUTHENTIC UNIFIT AUSTRALIAN PATENT" cap. this is a one of a kind lot. please view all pics and read full item condition. If you did not know who this ARTIE FLETCHER is (not the one who played for the yankees) please look up his stats in BASEBALL REFERENCE. He was born in 1937.
