Description: A beautiful watercolor painting by the artist A.W. Buhler. This original framed watercolor was signed by the late artist. This artist was born in 1853, and painted many works at his studio in Rockport, Ma., and had a summer studio in town. When at his studio, he taught many aspiring artists, and also created any artworks as well. He died in 1920, with having many fine renderings of Annisquam, the waterfront village in the city of Gloucester. The painting itself has site measurements of 21” in length x 14 1/2” in height, and with frame is 28 1/2” in length x 22 1/2”. The watercolor has cream tones, along with soft blues, brown,gray, and peach. Original frame of warm toned brown wood with raised trim. His style and technic is the same as William Trost Richards.
