Description: This is a full size double elephant folio edition print after John James Audubon. Plate 20 BLUE WINGED YELLOW WARBLER This copy comes from the 1972 Leipzig Edition. The Audubon Leipzig Edition is a limited edition facsimile reproduction of Audubon's original Birds of America prints. The originals were engraved printed and colored by Robert Havell. The Leipzig prints were created in the full original size using a process call a Collotype. The edition contains a total of 40 prints. This copy is number 677 Folio of a total of 1000 copies. 500 were bound into volumes and 500 were issued as individual prints.This set is comprised of copies numbered 501-750. This was published by The Ariel Press London but printed in Germany. This is the original printing and not the later copies made in the 1980's that appear for sale from time to time. This copy is in mint condition with no stains, tears, folds or damage of any kind. Great coloring. Printed on heavy cream colored cardstock type paper. Sheet size is 38 1/2 inches by 27 inches. I will inclued the page describing the bird along with the print. Will be carefully packed and shipped flat to avoid damaging the print.I will be listing several more of these including top tier prints like the Snowy Owl, Carolina Parrot, Passenger Pigeon, Pileated Woodpecker etc, as well as some songbirds etc.
