The Bra:This sheer, U/W balconette bra, is lined inside the cups with sheer, soft ivory mesh. The Leavers lace covers the outer cups and part of the underband with a vertical seam up the centre to help shape the cups over the breast. The beautiful ivory Leavers lace has a floral pattern, this is topped with soft waves with a fan pattern inside, and a twisted eyelash finish over the top of the waves. A double band of black embroidery edges the larger waves in the floral lace, below the waves with the fan patterning. A double layer of ivory mesh joins the two underwires together and this is topped with two metal cups embracing the top and bottom of an ivory faceted bead, sewn to the top of this mesh band. The underband has the mesh and lace folded under to the middle of the underwires, so that the central section has a smooth edge, the mesh is secured to the ivory elastic forming the underband, with large ivory zig-zag stitches, The Wings and Back:The wings and back are in two sections with the sheer ivory mesh sewn horizontally over the sheer floral lace and taking up two thirds of the space. The top of the mesh is folded in and secured to ivory flat elastic with fine ivory zig-zag stitching along the bottom, and tiny stitches at the top. The lace below has part of the flowers showing then a double row of black embroidery separating this from the fan-shaped waves, which fall below the flat ivory elastic, which forms the under band. Along the bottom the lace is secured with large ivory zig-zag stitching, from the outer part of the underwires to the back fastening. The wings and back are unlined in the cup sizes A - C, then the D and DD/E have an ivory mesh lining to this area, for added strength. The Straps:The straps are in plain, flat ivory elastic with a subtle sheen and a pretty edge to the front straps, but not the back straps which are plain. Over the front straps come a cascade of fine black plaited strands. These start by looping over the steel ring over the shoulder, looped over the ivory elastic and sewn to it, securely, it is gathered together at the centre with a few black stitches, and then towards the bottom of the front strap, there is a more secure, narrow black satin ribbon holding the black strands to the elastic so that they fringe out below. The back straps of ivory elastic still have a satin sheen and these are looped through the top steel ring, adjusting downwards with a steel butterfly slider. At the bottom the back elastic is sewn between the ivory mesh and the ivory flat elastic edging the top of the back. This bra fastens with three double rows of steel hooks and eyes on ivory fabric. Aubade placed a message with the bra to encourage you to cut the stitch fixing the small black threads in the centre on the satin straps. The fabric is 83%Polyamide, 1%Polyester, 16%Elasthane, and please hand wash gently at 30 degrees with gentle detergent, use no bleach, do not steam, do not dry clean or tumble dry. New and unused.
