Description: ATQ Orig Photo Civil War Veterans Grand Army Of The Republic Reunion On Board Very nice image. Original silver gelatin print. Believed to be a reunion of Civil War Veterans GAR members taken outdoors in front of a lovely brick building. Dressed in suits and holding/wearing hats, many of the men are wearing lapel pins and a few have ribbon badges on their clothing; including the lone female. She may have been a member of The Ladies of the Grand Army of the Republic formed in 1881. If not a reunion, perhaps these men were residents of a Veterans Home. A couple of the gentleman also appear to have suffered injuries; see gentleman at far right with eye patch. Print measures 9-1/2” x 6-5/8” and is mounted on board. Nothing written on reverse. Board edges are chippy and most likely larger at one time. Minor corner and edge wear to print but no rips or tears. Please review all photos provided. A fine addition to any antique photo or militaria collection! Thanks for looking.
