ASUS ROG Zephyrus M15 GU502L *For Parts* *Read Desc* *NO SSD*

Description: This listing is for 1x Asus Rog Zephyrus M15. No cords or anything else included This machine was a repair fail. It was traded to me by a friend, and it had a overheating issue. I opened up the machine, and disconnected the battery. I didn't account for residue charge left over in the caps, and accidentally touched my screwdriver to a cap near the gpu power delivery. It sparked, and the machine no longer shows an image. It makes the boot up sound, yet no image is displayed on the display, and external monitor. I understand that laptops with a dedicated gpu need the gpu to be working to initialize/show image, so the issue might be around there. It does get warm, but I do understand that that it doesn't mean its working. The CPU fan has a bad bearing, and needs replacing. Some components on the board are missing, it was working fine without them. (Before I opened up the machine) Last photo is when it was working fine, and I was doing a windows re-install. I've broken two laptops during repair, out of the hundreds I've worked on before. Counting this one. I believe all of the screws are in the right place, but I spent days trying to get it to work after the original accident, so I cannot guarantee. one of the CPU heatpipes is bent, so the laptop overheats and shuts off anyway, since of the bad fan. Also, the chipset heatsink is out of place, and has fallen off (see picture) One of the speakers doesn't seem to work. Some keys feel "spongy" but still work. Please ask any questions before purchase, and please understand that the board most likely needs repair. Comes with ram, but the SSD was removed. Please understand that there will be no returns. (Battery has been disconnected to prevent further damage to components)
