Blatchford [1820 1893] was a lawyer and judge from New York who was nominated by President Chester Arthur as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States and served from 1882 until his death in 1893. Listed for auction is the autograph of Samuel M. Blatchford signed on a page which is affixed to a card. The autograph is signed ''Samuel Blatchford Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States January 25th, 1893'' in black fountain pen. The page measures 3.50 x 2.50 inches, it has trivial toning otherwise it is in very good condition. The autograph is authentic and is a nice example of this noted jurist and is ideal for display.
