Federal Art Project between 1936 and 1937. It was a public awareness poster warning about Syphilis which was now curable despite being as old as creation. The WPA was a New Deal federal program which was ultimately responsible for a lot of public health posters issued during the period. The poster was by the Town of Hempstead, W.H.
