Description: indicator holder that holds 9mm dovetail type indicators such as the Fowler, Starrett last word, GEM, etc., and also has a holder for post mounted indicators. the knurled thumb screw adjusts the angle of the mount with respect to the rod, some companies call this "true-set", it lets you accurately set the indicator to zero without having to move the heavy base or lessen any of the clamps - it's pretty handy, I like it a lot. the rod diameter is shown in inches and mm in the photos, I think the 14.7mm is probably what the manufacurer intended, just under 15mm. it clamps to a 1 inch or 25.5mm vertical (or any other angle, I suppose) post.
