Description: Arthur Court Designs Brass Alligator Crocodile Box 1975 Early Vintage Reptile Description and Item Information Up for sale is this early Arthur Court alligator or crocodile box. Please excuse any glare in the photos. This metal animal box is either made from brass or bronze. It has a hinged lid which tilts back to reveal a storage area inside. This reptile box measures approximately 9 1/2 inches by 5 1/2 inches by 2 1/2 inches. Unpacked, it weighs 2 pounds 11.8 ounces; it feels heavy for its size. There are green felt dots applied beneath the feet. This would be a neat addition to a collection of vintage Arthur Court Designs items. Identification This vintage piece is marked beneath, "1975 Arthur Court Designs." Arthur Court Designs was founded by Arthur Court in 1966 as an interior design firm. The beloved company produced popular metal tableware and home decor items. Condition The box looks great overall. It has very light wear. It has not been polished, and the brass or bronze has a dark gold color. The hinge works properly, and the lid opens and shuts nicely.
