Description: The lamp will be double boxed, wrapped with lots of bubblepack and surrounded by foam. It will be shipped by UPS Ground in a large outer box with styrofoam peanuts. No returns - carefully check description and pictures and ask all questions before purchase. The glass globe is only for display and is not a part of the auction. For auction is a beautiful original French Art Deco lamp from the 1920s/1930s. The lamp has the “FABRICATION FRANCAISE – PARIS – MADE IN FRANCE” stamp on the inside of the fitter. The lamp depicts a dancer standing on one foot, holding an intricate rounded Art Deco fitter above her head. The lamp is large at approximately 18” to the top of the socket. The lamp appears to be brass plated. It has acquired a lot of patina and, at the moment, has a bronze look to it. Please note that it was not cleaned and has some paint and the typical wear for a lamp of this vintage (see pictures). It stands on a two tiered marble base. There are some minor chips on the bottom edge of the base. It looks to have a new electrical wire. The socket is original to the lamp, and the lamp is fully functional and ready to be enjoyed. Please note - for one picture I used a white satin brain globe to give an idea of what the lamp looks like with a globe. These globes can be easily purchased in different colors on eBay. Pictures are an important part of the description - please carefully check all of them for condition.
