Description: This German coffee or teapot is made of white porcelain and is encased in felt lined metal, possibly silver plate, designed to keep the liquid warm. Condition is excellent. Manufactured by Bauscher in Weinden, Germany, an old firm that has provided porcelain to the hotel industry since 1887. The Waldorf Astoria in New York was one of their customers, although this particular pot was collected in Berlin. It has a very pleasing design of raised concentric circles. Hinged lid and clasp. Holds 1.40 litres, as indicated on the underside. Heavy weighs 3½ pounds, empty. Measures 7” tall and 11” across, including spout and handle. Do let me know if you need more photos or have any questions. Will ship internationally at cost. _gsrx_vers_1608 (GS 9.5 (1608))
