Grigorian studied art at the Merkurov studio in Leninakan from 1944 to 1949 and at the Terlemezyan Fine Arts College in Yerevan from 1949 till 1956(served in the Soviet army from 1951 till 1954), From 1957 to 1959 had his higher education at the Leningrad (Sankt-Petersburg) Art, Sculpture and Architecture Institute named after I.Repin, at the same time attends Neprintsev's art studio. his first one man show was in Kazakhstan, 1962, has several awards for designs done for performances by Edlis and Stanislavsky. Participates in exhibitions in Spain, Los Angeles, Bulgaria and Yerevan. His one man shows were held in Kazakhstan, Armenia, Australia and in Paris-France.
