The body of the piece flares out to 15-1/2" in diameter near the bottom of the bowl and curves back in to 14-1/2" in diameter near the top before flaring out to the 5" wide top opening.There is a raised relief design just below the top. The top has a ruffled edge that is trimmed in gold metallic as is the edge of the base. Solid white china is hand painted with strawberry branches and colorful butterflies and beetles flying around them. Butterflies are also hand painted around the interior top edge.
