An ornate 19th century carved giltwood and gesso, continental architectural pediment, an over-door pediment from the home of renowned and well documented London collector Ann Broadbent. Ann Broadbent, along with her husband, had built a remarkable decorative collection of antiques and architectural elements which remained at their Greenwhich house in London, a well documented collection and celebrated among the decorator and artist community, the collection was established over 70 years, this being 1 item from the recently disposed contents of the Queen Anne family home. Antique over door pediment, believed to be early to mid 19th century, Northern European in the baroque taste. An elaborate over-door pediment of considerable decorative appeal with a charming provenance. Dimensions Width 101cm Height 32cm Depth 7cm Whilst structurally complete, the pediment has had a later gilt paint, probably circa 1900 or early 20th century.
