I have MANY collectables that have come from deceased family members, I just have TOO much stuff and would rather they head to collections where people can truly appreciate them. I am NO expert but do my best to research what I have- I couldn't find this exact item online but I found another I had listed- a fish which was always displayed with this piece and it has now been sold to a Murano collector and they are extremely happy. I list what I see and feel free to tell me if I am way off. This item was either my Mum's or her Mum's, it has been around and behind glass for as long as I remember- my family were big collectors- they have been stored safely and display beautifully with mild age wear only. From what I can tell this is a beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso Pink Italian glass Duck sculpture/figurine. It has not retained the original sticker but does have something the artist's signature etched into the base which can be seen in the pics. The piece has applied black accents to the beak. The pink is cased over in clear glass. Very nicely detailed- Mid Century Era.
