When raised, the shade works like a peak, and minimizes glare when the sun is higher in the sky. When cresting hills and rounding bends, you can quickly dip your head to avoid unexpected sun glare. When lowered, the Pro Shade acts as a tinted shield and reduces the amount of light entering the helmet. This is most useful when the sun is lower in the sky. The shade quickly raises and lowers, and locks into place when in the upright position so that wind pressure does not cause it to drop down. In the case of an impact, the Pro Shade Lens is designed to break away. Best of all, the shield that is used with the Pro Shade system is a Pinlock Ready Shield (Max Vision with Brow Vents), so that you have the option of adding a Pinlock Lens if fogging is a concern. This is one shield that can do it all! This shield is designed to accommodate the Max Vision with Brow Vent Pinlock lenses/inserts. Used together, the Pinlock system creates a fog resistant set up for your Arai helmet. You have the choice of clear, light tint, dark tint, and yellow inserts (sold separately).
