Description: This is an Aqua Signal Series 40 model that is no longer available, having been discontinued and replaced by a cheaper build without the strobe feature. This masthead light was the gold standard of masthead lights for decades. I carried this one as a back-up during 17 years of long distance cruising. It is in perfect condition with all functions tested. The anchor light (lower level) is LED, the tricolor light is the original 10 Watt incandescent bulb, but can be replaced by a two contact, indexed, bayonet socket LED for full LED efficiency (available on eBay). The over all height is 10 inches, width of base is 3 1/4 inches, width above the base is 3 1/2 inches. The strobe is an internationally recognized distress signal with high visibility in nearly all conditions. As far as I can tell the strobe feature was discontinued due to the extra expense for a feature so rarely used by recreational sailors, but it is, none the less, a critically important feature for serious sailors.
