Description: This is a Japanese hanaire flower vase using the traditional Kutani ware technique called "ao-chibu," which has been used since the Taisho era(1912-1926). The blue paint is heaped up on the ground color and countless dots are created one by one, a work that requires patience and skill. Clematis flowers and arabesque patterns are painted with gold paint. Signed Kutani Mizumi ( 九谷美泉）. Dated mid- century around 1960s. Excellent vintage collection with no chips, cracks or crazing. Please see the pictures as they are part of my description. It measures approximately 4 7/8” tall, 3 3/8” at widest. Note: - Please ask all pertinent question in advance of purchase so as to avoid misunderstanding.
