Description: New to market, fine estate - well stored since mid 1960s. On offer:An 1865 S Seated Liberty Silver U.S. Half Dollar Coin, in Great Condition, however uncertified, non-graded. Contains 90% Silver. This genuine early Silver Liberty Seated U.S. Half Dollar was struck over a century ago. Its classic obverse shows Liberty seated on a rock, holding a Union Shield, a ribbon inscribed LIBERTY & a Liberty cap atop a pole. 13 stars & the date surround her. The reverse depicts an American Eagle with Union Shield, an olive branch & three arrows. Encircling the reverse are "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" & "HALF DOLLAR".We see a lot of great detail that has survived it's long, uncirculated history with it's last owner & we suspect, prior owner as it was aquired from a fine estate long ago. Look closely at the remaining fine details of her hair, face & gown; the crispness of it's stars, pronouned date, eagle & all words on back, plus the uniform, naturally aged fine patina to both sides. There is minor age related normal wear; a few tiny flea-bites to front face inside rim; does not detract from the overall beauty of this fine coin, in our opinion. Camera hyper- magnifies all inclusions, many not vis8ble to the naked eye. Carefully review all photos please. Comparing this coin to others we researched online .. graded as EF or VF, we find better condition here, argueably; however your the ultimate judge.
