Notes: The region of Lycaonia in Asia Minor was bounded on the west by Pisidia, on the north by Galatia, on the east by Cappadocia, and on the south by the mountainous country of Isauria or Cilicia Tracheia. It included the cities of the Κοινον Λυκαονιας, organized in the reign of Antoninus Pius, viz. Barata, Dalisandus, Derbe, Hyde, Ilistra, Laranda, and Savatra; together with Iconium, Lystra, Laodiceia Combusta, and Parlais. There is no coinage earlier than the first century B.C. Lystra and Parlais were made colonies by Augustus, Iconium by Hadrian. Coins reading ΛVΚΑΟΝΩΝ were struck by Antiochus IV of Commagene and his sons, probably at Laranda. Iconium (Konia).
