Description: This unique piece of hand crafted glass is attributed to Antonio Da Ros a famous master Murano glass blower on the Murano island of Venice, Italy. This is a hippopotamus in sommerso technique is transparent red and clear Murano glass. This unique piece is apart of the Vetreria Artistic Cenedese which was a ”zoo” design by Antonio Da Ros for Gino Cenedese 1960’s/1970’s collection. Present are air bubbles for mouth, nose and with hand crafted eyes. All original labels and a hand written signature on the bottom from the master glass artist. There is a very light scratch mark on the right hip of the hippo which I could not get a picture of. Overall there are no cracks, or signs or blemishes other than stated. This is in Excellent conditon and would be an amazing piece to add to your collection. Please contact for more info or pictures.
