Also, it has a broad bandpass designed to cope with faster optics up to the f/2 focal ratio. - Considering the high quantum efficiency (QE) characteristics of the latest cameras in the near-infrared region and this region is less susceptible to artificial light pollution the Quad Band filter adds high transmission in NIR. This spectrum design improves image signal-to-noise ratio and contrast by capturing signals within this range while also facilitating color balance and easier to manage in post-processing. - Please note that not all objects contain strong signal in the near-infrared (NIR) region. For instance, emission nebulae and planetary nebulae, which are typical examples of line spectrum objects, demonstrate limited signal in the NIR region. Conversely, certain full-spectrum objects like M51, M83 possess significant NIR signal, you can possibly shoot these objects more contrasted with the Quad Band filter.
