Description: This Antique 1920s Whiting & Davis delicate silvertone mesh purse is up for consideration. For being almost 100 years old, it is in reasonably good condition. The craftsmanship is remarkable, given the meticulous attention to detail. It features a small silvertone frame with intricate detailing and a secure double-ball closure. The mesh is highly delicate but durable and feels like fabric. It was handpainted in a floral design in greens, pinks, and purples. The bottom of the bag features a triangular fringe, adding another design element. As for wear, there is metal tone loss, a small area where the mesh detached from the frame, and one tiny hole in the mesh fabric near the top of the bag. However, considering its age and comparisons to other Whiting & Davis bags, such wear is reasonably "normal." Please refer to the pictures for the best description.
