Description: This auction is for an Antique Wells Cathedral under Glass Silvertone Brooch…..Frame is white / silver tone metal - could be silver but not marked or tested…..Image is under glass. Looks hand made because the image of Wells cathedral is printed - maybe from a photo or a postcard, it has been cut out to put in the brooch then the background of blue sky has been hand painted….There is some pink iridescence in the area of the stained glass windows on the cathedral….Long hinged pin and c clasp….measured approx 1 3/4” wide…. Condition: - the base of the cathedral image has some damage this looks to have been when it was made, as all is now safely protected by the glass front…..unsigned ….please see my photos as they are part of my description…….
