THE CLOCK AND WATCH STORE Click images to enlarge Description Maker: Waterbury Clock Company c.1912 Model: Crane Model 8 Day Time and Strike with Simple Calendar Condition: This Waterbury Crane model store regulator comes to you as shown. The 8 day movement was cleaned and oiled, it is running and keeping time however, it is being sold as a non-running clock for restoration. The clock just came out of a cleaning and it has a nice strong beat with good swing on the pendulum. The hands will need adjusting and I will continue to do so as it runs on my wall. It strikes once on the half hour and counts the hours on a coiled wire cathedral gong. It will require, like all mechanical clocks require, to have the beat set/adjusted and the time regulated after shipping. If you do not know how to set the beat or regulate the time, I suggest you watch a YouTube video or two before you decide to bid. If you do know how to perform these basic adjustments, you will be pleased with the clocks performance. The glass is old and wavy and in one picture I show a large 2" bubble along with showing how the reverse painted finish is flaking. The top piece has about a 4" crack and has been reinforced at one time to keep it from warping/breaking off like many of them do. This clock has an old label on the bottom and a partial label on the back. It has worm holes throughout the backboard that has been repainted glossy black, but it looks like the original backboard. The finish is old and in good condition. Overall, its a decent example of this model clock and I believe it has been restored sometime in the 70's or 80's as it is just too good looking to be 111 years old! I take great care in packing all the items being sold but, take extra precautions when packing clocks. I do everything I can to prevent your clock arriving damaged. Due to rising costs and some areas no longer being the rates they used to be, I no longer will offer large wall clocks with free shipping. If the clock appears very expensive for S&H, please inquire BEFORE making the purchase and I will check the accuracy of eBay's shipping calculator per your location. We do not offer refunds on S&H AFTER a payment has been made. Measurements: 37.5" L x 16.25" W x 5" D Payment eBay uses Managed Payments and the only method of payment is PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, you may check out as a guest on PayPal using your credit or debit card. I will gladly accept the old fashioned method of payment if/when that is your only option however, all other methods will have a delay until cleared. Shipping We combine shipping whenever possible to reduce your cost as long as it does not compromise the safety of fragile purchases.
