Description: I think it’s made with real oak and pre dates the 1940s, however I am not an expert on these items. It needs refurbishing but is in overall good condition. The wood is well maintained. The key is missing and I think the lock has been broke when trying to open but no harm came to the chest itself. I have no idea of who the maker was but I’m not sure what to look for when identifying manufacturers. The handle is made with leather based on how it feels. Perfect for any collector or refurbisher who wants to restore for a pretty penny.
