Description: Thompson Pottery Platter - C. C. Thompson Pottery - C. C. T. P. CO. - Semi Granite Platter - 1900's Serving Platter - East Liverpool, Ohio Approximately 15 3/4" long, 10 3/4" wide, 1 3/8" in height, 1 1/4" deep. The bottom of the platter marked with: C.C.T.P. CO., Semi-Granite and a Griffin symbol. The C.C. Thompson Pottery, named after Cassius C. Thompson, operated in East Liverpool, Ohio from 1868 until 1938. I do not know the exact age of this piece. There are a few chips that are visible when the platter is turned upside down (see last three photos). Also the platter has crazing throughout. However, the enamel is in very good condition. Overall, the platter is in good condition, especially for its age. This platter is mostly beige with some brown spots swirled in. I do not know if this was the pattern or is this is just age discoloration. Either way this is a wonderful piece. The C. C. Thompson pieces are getting harder to find. We will combine shipping.
