Antique Vintage Hickory Shaft Forgan St Andrews Gold Medal Spoon

Description: This item is a 41 3/4" right-handed original hickory shafted wood. It is a spoon wood. Faintly marked Forgan St Andrews and Gold Medal with the Crown cleek mark on the crown. Full metal sole plate (might be a later replacement). Head is in good vintage condition. Shows the expected play use and wear. Please look at the many zoom pictures to get a better idea of condition. The shaft is the original Forgan marked hickory. Feels like a very stiff flex. It is straight and I see no cracks. The grip is an old long leather wrap that is in fair vintage condition with some tape at the bottom. 16* loft and a D 3 swingweight. Great for display.If you are considering playing with this club, while I see no issues with this shaft (other than those mentioned above), I suggest that whipping be added just above the hosel to help prevent breakage. These old wooden shafts often have hidden defects and are liable to break at any time. I do not guarantee wooden shafts or heads against breakage when put into play. Never hit an old wooden shafted club off a driving range mat. Never hit an old wooden shafted wood with a hard range ball.Shipping in the US is calculated and based on a 3-pound box.
