Description: This is a guaranteed old scythe anvil or Denglestock to the Pennsylvania Dutch. It would be carried on the belt with a rope through the hole in the anvil. When needed the pointed end would be pound into a stump, the scythe blade would be held on the sloped top and then hammered sharp. This would only work on a German scythe (made in Austria) which had workable steel. It is 7 1/4 inches long. Return will be accepted if it is not as described. Shipping in the 50 states is $8.00.
