Description: Please email with any questions. 1916 postmark on this card of the Commercial Hotel in Cornelia, Georgia. If you look closely, you can see a lady in a pink dress in the doorway of the upper floor. It looks like a great place and the message on the back agrees that it was a fine hotel with a splendid table and good eating. A man named Worth Grant built this hotel on the site of a hotel that had been destroyed by fire. In 1912 he sold the hotel to Joseph W Jackson who was the owner at the time that this postcard was made. Some slight rounding of corners and a little bit of postmark ink upper left corner.
