Description: Antique Vintage 12” Mechanical Walking Doll RARE L.W. & Co 1890s Marked Compo. Condition is “Used”. Shipped with USPS Ground Advantage $20.00. From a non-smoking home. Please look at all of the pictures. I FOUND THIS WRAPPED IN A BLANKET IN A BOX OF UNRELATED ITEMS (MY GRANDMOTHER WAS ALWAYS HIDING THE GOOD STUFF). I FOUND A YOUTUBE VIDEO WHERE SOMEONE RESTORED ONE OF THESE. FROM MY RESEARCH IS A LOUIS WOLF (HENCE THE L.W.) IT WAS A DIVISION OF BING BROTHERS ART DOLLS OF GERMANY (1882-1932). NOTHING I HAVE IS A MUSEUM PIECE. MOST OF THIS STUFF IS VERY OLD. • This doll is marked LW&Co on its neck back plate • From some research I believe this to be from the 1890s • The wind up piece on the side does appear to make the doll walk down • The head/neck area is composition • The hands are composition • The rest of the doll is metal • The outfit was too tight to take off of the doll so I left it on • The hands are very cracked • There are some areas where the paint has worn off a lot on the face/head/neck area • The clothes have some stains and discoloring • The arms are pretty loose • The neck/head is pretty loose so it leans a lot to one side
