Description: Fashion Decorative20th Fine Arts, Antiques and Collectibles ANTIQUE - VIENNA SECESSIONIST WIENER WERKSTATTE 1910 JOSEF HOFFMANN ADOLF LOOS ERA TABLE LAMP Description: Very rare and large Viennese Table Lamp made in Austria circa 1910 in the Secessionist era. The Lamp it´s made in cast bronze and brass and showing design in the manner of Josef Hoffmann / Adolf Loos. The lamp sits on a circular base with architectural decorations rising into a fluted column that supports the lampshade. The top of the shade is finished off dome. Surrounding the shade have green and red jewels that shine when the lamp is turned on. The shade has a red silk fringe. The shade employs handsome bronze work applications that remember the ceiling lamp designed by Adolf Loos in 1907 from the Hammel Collection in Vienna (Adolf Loos "Private Spaces" TEMPORARY EXHIBITION Museu del Disseny de Barcelona December 2017). The lamp have the three original socket lamps with rotary switches. Measures: Total Height: 25 1/2" or 65cm. Base Diam.: 8 3/4" or 22cm. Shade Diam.: 15 3/4" or 40cm. Condition: Very Good overal original condition. Has one small shallow dent in the dome. The base, standard and shade exhibit some minor surface scratches, oxidation and accretions that are consistent with age, medium and use. The silk fringe has been remplaced. The lamp is functional, has been rewired for normal use and the original sockets are in working order. If required US plug will be provided.
