Description: Superb Early Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Handled Pierced Swan Design Fish Serving Set. The sterling silver handles are hallmarked with Queen Victoria’s head, the crown for Sheffield and lion passant. The maker mark is MH&Co for Martin Hall and Co who operated under that name between 1854 and 1866. The blades are made of plated silver and are A1 EP. There is a beautiful hand engraved design on the fork and the knife which additionally has a swan on both sides. The knife measures 34cm in length and weighs 219 grams. The 5 prong fork is 26cm long and weighs 136 grams. In good condition especially considering the age with just some minor wear and marks.
