Description: Beautiful Antique Easel Style Frame This Petite table or shelf size frame is rather unique in its design. The entire piece was crafted from brass, and features and easel style older with textured pattern along the arms and a three leaf adornment on top. From the center hangs an oval picture frame, also brass, with a twisted brass and bow outside mounting and a faded royal blue textile "mat" The back of the frame is closed by folding brass tabs, similar to some styles of early Photograph preservers. The frame holds a cut down cabinet card image of an Old unidentified man. In Total, the piece Stand approx. 9" H The frame measures approx. 3-3/4" x 5", and holds a 3-1/4" x 4-1/2" image (viewing area is only 2" x 3") There is currently glass inside the frame An excellent addition to any collection! Condition:Moderate wear and loss to the original bright brass finish along with dust and patina from 100+ years of life. There is 1 missing brass folding tab on the rear of the photograph holder, and you can see they've been opened/closed numerous times. Overall, the unique piece displays very well.
