Antique Victorian Branford H-20400 C: 1893 Cast Bronze Match Set W-48

Description: Matching set of the 1893 H-20400 by Branford. After 125+ years still maintains it's beautiful deep dual-sided detail. Mostly unrestored. Does show some loss of black enamel, refer to pictures. Usually when I get them the enamel is mostly gone. In those cases I remove any remaining flakes of black and polish them to a high gloss (I have several like this listed in my shop, if you would like to compare). The aged patina and black enamel are original with the exception of the mortise. The mortise was heavily under paint and frozen, necessitating it being restored. It was stripped down to bare rust-free metal and repainted. All interior parts were cleaned and polished as necessary and all springs cleaned or replaced as necessary. (Key not included). The brass face was cleaned but more or less left as found. A brass, non-ornate, strike plate is included. though not found a spindle and set screws are included. I will happily provide any other additional information that I have and or provide you with additional/better pictures upon request. Always refer to the pictures they are an integral part of the description and best represent the product. Please remember that these are old pieces, many coming from homes 100+ years old so they will NEVER EVER be perfect and will always show some evidence of natural wear. W-48
