Description: Offered Here is a truly phenomenal antique Art Deco Era Beaded Necklace. This necklace measures 35" in total length and is composed of Large Cherry Amber beads with graduated Venetian Foiled Fire Opal Art Glass Beads. The colors are breathtaking. There are 27 of the very large Amber beads and the color is like a dark Carnelian Cherry Amber. These beads are slightly oval and measure 7/8" by 3/4" or 18mm in diameter. (I have shown several photos with a Dime coin for size reference) The Venetian Art Glass beads are graduated in size. This necklace weighs 183 grams or 6 1/2 ounces. There is no clasp on the necklace and there are four of the huge Amber beads without spacers. I would personally have this restrung before wearing. From what I could find out about this estate necklace was it was purchased in Europe after World War I.
