Description: Early Tin Pennsylvania Flat-Back Cookie Cutter Duckling Standing For Your Americana Collection Details Description: An antique nice sized tin cookie cutter. The design is of a duck or duckling standing or walking with its head up. The cutter's back has an arched handle and a large central hole to allow for the air to escape. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: Mid to late 1800s Origin: This flat-back cutter was acquired at an estate in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Size: The cutter measure 4" by 3" and the design is 1/2" in height Maker: Unknown Marks: Unmarked Distinguishing Characteristics - Most Interesting About The Piece: This is a nice and old cookie cutter with a very desirable design. Condition: The cutter is aged to a nice gray patina. There are some minor rust spots on the front, back, and the design itself commensurate with the cutter's age and function. In addition, the back is generally bent around the design and at the edges, particularly at one edge (the left edge in the second photo). However, this does not distract from the beauty and quality of this piece. Please see photos to appreciate the condition and quality of the piece.
