Description: Grandma Sandburg came from Norway in 1910 at the age of 19. This is her brother who came with her. He died at a young age "from a disease". So I'm guesstimating this photo to be 1910 to 1920 as he doesn't look 30 to me. This information is written in cursive on the back of the frame. Purchased at a small auction house in NW Iowa, likely a local family. The tigerwood is painted on with a few scratches. Bubble glass is good. Colors in the portrait are not faded. 23" tall, 17" wide. If shipping is required, a box will be constructed to insure the safe arrival. A $5 handling charge has been added for special materials.
