Description: THE ARGOSY Volumes LXVII - LXVIII - LXIX January to December 1899 With Many Illustrations Three Volumes Complete London Macmillan & Co 1899. The books measure approx; 15cm by 22.5cm and contain 484, 476 and 504 pages respectively. Each volume bears a frontis and various illustrations throughout. The text blocks are complete and tightly bound with no loss of text. The pages are generally clean although there very occasional areas of light foxing, more profound at the titles, plates and endpapers. The recto of volume one's frontis has the faint remains of what appeas to be an old tipped in article (see photo). The half leather bindings have some edgewear, chipping, staining and surface scuffing. the hinge joints are all firm althogh there is a short split to the lower rear joint of volume three.
