Description: ANTIQUE handmade wicker THAI HILL TRIBE RICE BASKET from THAILAND. A lovely example, bought in the 1980s from ethnographics expert Barbara Harding, who was a dealer in Portobello Road, London. Beautifully worked, with a rich and excellent patina, the basket and plaited rope carrying handle are in good condition, commensurate with age and use. Please examine the photographs carefully for condition. Height is roughly 28 cm, with a diameter of 18 cm, though given the basket is irregular in shape, these are by necessity approximations. All items being sold are my own, or from friends and family, given to help with the upkeep of rescued animals in my care. Please note that I use recycled packaging wherever possible. I do combine postage on multiple purchases.
