The hallmarks on the back handle indicate that this spoon was made by silversmith John Shield, it is sterling silver, the city mark is for Dublin, Ireland, the year is 1801 (note: to the best of our research). There is a fish stamped on the front handle. The spoon is 12-1/2" long, the bowl is 4" long by 2-3/8" at is widest. The total weight of the stuffing spoon is 119 grams.
