The print is in very good condition - notice some creasing, tiny dark dot on the bottom edge, light soiling. You are purchasing the original book print, not a copy. The reverse side is blank. Edward Julius Detmold was a prolific Victorian and early twentieth century book illustrator. He became one of the most talented of illustrators, depicting animals and plants with an extraordinary understanding, and making use of fantasy settings of architecture and landscape. It will be carefully packaged in a plastic sleeve and shipped flat with thick cardboard.
