Description: This charming tea caddy is 3 inches wide and 4 1/2 inches tall. It has 2 elaborate dutch scenes repeated on all four sides. The high relief reposse scenes include Dutchman in traditional dress, windmills, cows, houses and trees of the countryside. There is an elaborate cartouche that frames each scene. There are several stamps on the bottom, HEEP is stamped in block letters, 8787 and there are also 6 stamped pictographs grouped together: a lion, a bell. 3 feather plumes... the second row has an arm with a hammer, a bell and a repeat of the arm with a hammer enclosed in tiny squares.I can only assume this was a Dutch manufacturer. More research should be done.
