Description: My mom's Belgian penpal sent her this case in the early 1920's. According to my mom it was to be used for stockings or gloves. It is hand-painted and features a pastoral scene with a river, arched stone bridge, and trees. It has some soil/stains as can be seen in the photos, and is missing a button for the loop closure, but is in remarkably good condition given its age. Perfect for a historic home/museum setting.
