Description: Add a timeless piece of Japanese artistry to your collection! This exquisite Kinkozan vase from the Meiji period (1868-1912) features intricate hand-painted floral designs, highlighted with stunning gold accents. Signed on the bottom by Kinkozan-Sei. The Kinkozan family have been associated with pottery since 1645. They went on to become the largest producer of Satsuma ware, from the end of the 19th century until 1927 after which the factory closed. Decorated with intricate gold detailing, the vase features white Chrysanthemum flowers on a brown gradient background and the signature white crackled paint on the inside. In good condition, please see photos. No visible chips, but the gold paint around the top rim has worn away somewhat. Gloss has worn away on some parts of the body, as shown. Dimensions: base measures 8" across the widest part, mouth is 2" across, 12.75" tall. I'm happy to take additional photos if requested!
