Description: Antique Ships Masthead Lamp, Navigation Light, Hudson Brothers, Hull, Maritime Very rare, being associated with a famous Hull fishing / trawler company. Dated around 1920 - 40's Makers brass plaque to the lid: Hudson Brothers, St Andrews Dock, Hull, plus 'Masthead' Substantial size - 35cm high, 38cm high, 35cm deep. Unpolished Copper, with original patina. Original glass lenses. Good used condition for age and application, with some wear, marks, scratches, tarnishing and remnants of paint. Plus, some edge chips to one of the lenses. HUDSON BROS (TRAWLER) LTD The company was founded in 1913 by Tom Hudson, who came from GREENWICH to HULL in 1885 and became a fish merchant in 1902, The vessels were named after CAPES until 22-11-1965 then passed onto ROSS GROUP on the 22-11-1965 Bayonet bulb fitting
