Description: Shapleigh Hardware Company, and a new stamp, Norleigh Diamond. That should date the jacket 1902-1920 which is really amazing for its condition. I'm not sure when Saunders Norvell departed but the jacket at the latest should be pre-depression era. The jacket material is a little stiff but not fragile, it is really well preserved. Any flaws are pictured, nothing serious. All 5 buttons are matching and they all have the same stitching pattern. The vest would have been sold as water foul hunting vest, duck would be the best guess. The ammo pockets are 2 rows of 16, 8 each side with 4 shots in the top pocket. The upper 16 and 4 would have held 20 12 gauge shells & the lower 16 pockets a bit smaller for your .410 shells. It has some light soiled spots on it, probably has not been cleaned in years, years! TG, It has antique Mallard DNA on it. It has absolutely no smell to it, no odors at least. thanks for looking as pictured on the hanger:11" across the top17 1/2" across the lower21" from the collar down the front Shapleigh Hardware Co./Norleigh Diamond Hunting Vest
