Description: Antique Seth Thomas Clock Co Mantle Shelf Clock Adamantine Clock Green Marble and Eastlake Finish and it Works 1880s Nice old clock with a patent date of September 7, 1880. It has a really attractive green marble finish on the top and columns. It also has lions on each side and fancy metal feet. There are fine Eastlake themed carvings on the base. The glass is good and the swinging door is solid. We have a key included. This is pretty much untested. It’s from an estate we are cleaning out. We wiped it down with lemon pledge to get the dust off. We wound the left keyhole one turn clockwise. We wound the right keyhole one turn counter clockwise. We set the hands to the top of the hour and she chimed nicely and the pendulum swung and it started ticking. It shut off after about 3 minutes. It should work fine after some fine tuning. It is missing the board that slides into the back. It has a chew mark on the front upper left corner. The paper face is worn. The metal parts are tarnished and grimy. The label on the back is partially worn away. All of these issues are pictured. It runs for a while and stops. It obviously needs adjustments to the pendulum and would probably need them anyway after bouncing around during shipping. Shipping is same day.
